Safety should be the number 1 consideration when entering a material storage structure, whether it is a grain bin, storage silo, flat storage or even an open ground pile. Any of these storage facilities can be hazardous. Among the hazards can be explosion, poisonous gas, respiratory problems and even engulfment. The pneumatic machine operator and all assisting personnel should consider reviewing the “Safety Awareness” before proceeding.
Also review additional details as referenced in the “OSHA” regulations.
We suggest that you review the “Suffocation Hazards in Grain Bins” as provided by The University of Arkansas, Division of Agriculture”.
