NEUERO Mobile Pneumatic Conveyors Type GSD

Designed for suction only or suction/pressure conveying
for unloading of ships and loading onto trucks, into
railway wagons or directly to silo storage
Max. capacity 180 t/h grain

High pressure centrifugal blower of two-stage assembly
consisting of a fan housing with dynamically balanced impellers,
pillow block, made of cast iron with roller bearings, V-belt drive
with tensioning device.

All NEUERO conveyors are tested and adjusted at the factory and
supplied with a corresponding certificate.

Air-flow regulator of special NEUERO design for controlling
the conveying condition and for limitation of conveying air velocity
and for limitation of the load of the engine.

Rotary airlock made of cast iron housing incorporating a rotor
with tungsten carbide tipped blades to increase the service life of
the airlock. Fitted with slip clutch to protect the airlock from
damage in case of blocking. Unit driven by V-belts or hydraulic motor.

Primary intake-cyclone of two-piece design, turnable,
made of steel sheets with replaceable wearing plates made
from manganese alloy, fitted with inspection flap and inside
separator to avoid grain and foreign material going into the
centrifugal blowers.

Control panel incorporating all switch gears and automatic devices.

Hydraulically operated telescopic boom TA 8, slewing range 310°,
boom length of 8 m, telescopic length max. 2,2 m, vertical lift 45°.
Consisting of telescopic boom with telescopic pipe, bend 90°,
universal joint, vertical conveying line, boom support, axial bearing
with frame and drive, two hydraulic cylinders, complete hydraulic
system with control and remote control connected to a cable of 15 m
length.

Frame with 4 mechanically operated supports, fitted to the corners
of the box-type frame, 4 eye-bolts, 2 running axles, turntable steering,
1 brake axle and overrun brake as optional, 4 air-tyred wheels.

Drive for series 210:

Diesel engine, 6 cyl. 4-stroke with direct injection, electric installation
of 24 volts, radiator designed for 55° C ambient temperature, with
silencer, air filter, engine cover and stop-magnet, 2 batteries,
each 12 volts, fuel tank, automatic starting clutch and safety device
to prevent excessive water temperature and oil-pressure failure; or

Electric motor of 90 or 110 kW with special characteristic
for heavy-duty start.

Drive for series 250 / 280 :

Diesel engine, 8cyl., 4-stroke with direct injection, electric installation
of 24 volts, radiator designed for 55° C ambient temperature, with
silencer, air filter, engine cover and stop-magnet, 2 batteries,
each 12 volts, fuel tank, automatic starting clutch and safety device
to prevent excessive water temperature and oil-pressure failure; or

Electric motor of 160kW or 200 kW with special characteristic

Use of mobile systems

Mobile unloading systems are used when the available space has to be shared with other port activities and where the point of grain discharge may change according to port decisions. This system works well when dealing with almost any ship size and shape.

The new generation of NEUERO mobile unloaders - type GSD 280 - has brought a new dimension to the use of mobile equipment.

In realising a good unloading rate, capacity is the main factor - but this should be achieved at all equipment positions, and not only at one point. The working range at the same capacity and the span between the unloading and discharging points are fundamental to the operation.

Figures 1 and 2 show  the working range of the GSD 280.

The booms on both the sucion and pressure sides of the unloading process are held by the machine. A swivelling capability of more than 310° results in a greater working range, allowing the mobile system to be positioned easily into small hatches. The use of a rotating cyclone instead of a flexible pipe allows the GSD 280 to achieve the maximum capacity in each position. Because of the equipment's turning range, interruptions caused by rain - which require the closure of the cargo hatch - are easier and quicker to handle.

Figure 3 shows the GSD 280 working on a ship where its high capacity of 180 tons per hour (t/h) changes the work procedures. Instead of three to five machines being required to unload each hatch, only one is now needed.   ....  The high capacity of this system can dramatically cut shipping costs with a low capital investment cost.
